February 2020. The world had not shut down yet, but the events industry already had. Planners, builders, problem-solvers suddenly found themselves with nothing to plan, nothing to fix, and no clear future, shifting from enjoying the unexpected pause to asking a harder question, how do we survive this, and will live events ever come back?

While everyone rushed to figure out virtual, racing to be first and fumbling through what it even meant, ARTColab took a different route. We turned uncertainty into conversation. Instead of trying to replicate events, we created a space for connection, honesty, and shared problem-solving, where “you’re on mute” became part of a much bigger, very human experience.

Over 7 weeks, ARTColab delivered 14 sessions designed to spark ideas, share knowledge, and create meaningful engagement. What started across 5 countries became one community, not because of technology alone, but because of intention, showing that even in isolation, connection could still be designed, nurtured, and scaled.

ARTColab was never about replacing events. It was about reminding the industry what events are really for.
If this is the kind of connection your events need, let’s talk.
